We had a first-time participation in the new format of Taekwondo sparring, which is using Virtual Reality Headsets and AXIS accelerometers developed for World Taekwondo. Sparring against a real human opponent, but in the virtual world, with no physical impact. It was a first for us, and a good learning experience. This competition was held in Asia Pacific University on the 20th and 21st of June 2026.
“The 1st Virtual Taekwondo Championship 2026 has now been officially approved by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM) for PAJSK (Kokurikulum) recognition. Participants are eligible for National Level Participation marks, while medal winners are eligible for National Level Achievement marks in accordance with the PAJSK assessment guidelines.”
